95.7Her story, in her words

I.Music has always been more than sound to me—it has been a way of life, a source of comfort, and a language through which I learned to express myself.

II.My music is a reflection of everything that moved me growing up—the soul of my mother’s records, the energy of Newark, the influence of radio, the spirit of church, and the imagination of a child who simply wanted to put feelings into words.

III.I sing because music has always spoken to me. I write because I have stories that need a voice. And I create because somewhere along the way, music became the place where I found myself.
